What an honor to play at my buddy Kenny's party last night @ The Hollow. Only with a government job can you retire so young with double pay and full benefits! I'll be rocking 'till I drop dead......Now he's on full-time vacation. Well earned, buddy!

Unique Cafe: This is the former Bon Appetit location in Gulf Breeze. Wonderful employees and owners offering excellent food, full bar and the best sunset in the Pensacola area. I'm there on Sundays from 6-9pm. You will love this place!
Guy Harvey's Island Grill: The heart of The Wharf with full bar and wonderful island food. Very cool place to hang down Gulf Shores way!
Big Fish Restaurant and Bar: This is the former VIP Lounge location featuring great seafood prepared before your eyes in the open kitchen. I play on the beatiful patio w/ fountains and fireplace.
Have a big weekend on Perdido Key/ Orange Beach. After you throw your fish (wash your hands) and then join Mike E at 3 great venues. Saturday afternoon @ Cosmo's for Dog Day. A big party for a GREAT cause. Meet Cosmo himself and enjoy the stupid pet tricks competition. I'll be playing music and MC for the contests! Then we cruise accross the street to Big Fish on the patio for an evening of sweet tunes. Then wrap up the weekend @ The Jellyfish Bar for a reunion show w/ all my IP and PK friends. FUN, FUN, FUN!
Can't say enough about this new venue! What a menu! Chef Nick has a great selection of tapas/apps and all entree items can be ordered as small or lg plates. The best wine list I've seen in the area and excellent cocktails all served by a PRO staff. Sit under the covered patio in the HEART of Downtown and experience a wonderful evening!
Tuesday is the big show @ 600 South. This is their re-grand opening to show off the new light Italian menu by Chef Nick. I'll be on the very cool covered patio with outdoor bar and 100 of my best friends. This will be a rockin good time at a very nice place. I've been playing a lot in Gulf Shores lately, so I can't wait to see my Pensacola peeps on Tuesday!
Man it was fun getting out on Ft Morgan again! Had a wonderful night of fun and music and reminiscing bout old times. Met lots of new friends also. Doing it again Memorial Day Weekend!
What a fantastic night on the deck this past Wed. Made some new friends (Jackson, MS, Kalamazoo, Texas) and had an incredible request list to work with. Driving home after the show with a big smile on my face...thanking God for giving me the best job on the face of the earth!
When it rains it pours! Songwriting for me has always come in waves, and I am riding one out right now. Working on some new ideas and melodies in the studio. Look for a new Mike E CD in later this summer!
I'll be rocking Dales BIG Deck @ Sabine Sandbar Friday night 7-11! This is a great locals's venue with outdoor bar and a great view over the harbor. Doing some video recording tonight for some Youtube demos. Lot's of old P'cola fans coming out tonight! Can't wait!
We're having a ball on Wednesday's @ Cosmo's. The deck is beautiful this time of year. And, as always. the BEST food and wine on the coast!!!

It saddens me deeply to leave my musical home base of the the last 2 1/2 years. I've made some truly dear friends and have wonderful memories to last a lifetime. I've rolled with the changes through three different owners, but this last one has made it impossible to continue on. If there is one thing in this business that is consistent, it is that things change. So, as Dylan aptly sings, I am "searching for another joint". So, to all my PK and IP brothers and sisters (and friends from all over the world who spent vacation time with us) I love you all more than you know!!! You need to come out to Cosmo's on Monday's, they are like Friday nights anywhere else. Sushi specials and great cocktails...and Mike E live on the deck. The weather is getting marvelous!!!!

WOW! What a weekend. The tiki bar is back and it's better than ever. Thank you all for coming out. Big thank-you to Pat Harbison on sax/flute and Mike Sidebottom on percussion...they really helped me ROCK the house! Kudos to Mac for the well cooked pig and the excellent fireworks show. A very memorable Independence Day..I LOVE this country!!!
My home base for the last year and a half will be open for business this 4th of July weekend! It will be better than ever with new furniture, sound system, equipment and a new coat of paint. Same great bar-tending staff (Tammi and Dave Donnelley) and same great live music. We have the Kyle Parker band out in the front entrance area this Sunday, and Mike E Live in the Tiki Bar on Fri, Sat, and Sunday the 4th! Welcome back all of my Purple Parrotheads!

75 weekends ago I started my gig at the Purple Parrot Resort. Marty has begun his well earned retirement, and the Tiki bar had it's closing party last night. Hopefully, some new configuration will emerge out of the ashes, but until then, I would like to thank all my faithful local rockers who supported me even on the COLDEST nights out there. I have MANY great memories and a lot of new friends now from the IP/PK area. I love you guys more than you know. Thanks a million!!!!
Absolutely fantastic weekend! Thanks to all of our temporary locals (tourists) who made this weekend so memorable. B'ham, Hattiesburg, Nawlins, Cleveland....love ya!!!! Our beaches are still pristine. Let's pray they stay that way!
